Lets start with the most important question...
What methods do i use?
The methods i use are as positive as possible.  Trainers who call themselves purely positve are misleading - you can not train a dog with only positive methods as they need the negative feedback, even if it is just a simple NO.
I am a firm but fair trainer.  Dogs need boundaries but they also need understanding.  I am a very big fan of clicker training, it is a fantastic way to positively teach your dog exactly what you want without having to push him or her around.
My own Hebe is a living example to the power of clicker training, she loves to work with me - now if only i can find an off switch!
To find out more about clicker training check out my other website
What methods dont i use?
I do not use or advocate the use of prong collars, choke chains or any electronic (shock collars, mats etc) device.  There is NO need to train with pain.

If you are struggling with any aspect of your dogs behaviour call me today.  Although dog ownership is hard work and ultimately heartbreaking it should also be fun and rewarding.

What i will train and advise on

* Puppy related problems
* Offlead manners
* Lead walking
* Toilet training
* Crate training
* Recall training
* Socialisation and manners around other dogs
* Anti lunge training - for dogs who chase cars or are scared of and lunge at various items (often a collie problem)
* Basic good manners - sit, down, wait etc
* Aggression
* Nervous issues

What do i specialise in?
Although i work with many dogs and advise on many aspects of behaviour I have personal interests in:-
* All things puppy - ofcourse they are cute but my interests include early training, development, socialisation.
* Border collies, sighthounds and their crosses.
* Nervous dogs.
* Fear aggresive dogs.
* Mental stimulation.
* Recall training.
* The affects of nutrition on dogs.

Puppy socialisation
The optimum age for socialising a puppy is between 7 weeks and 16 weeks.  If you have a nervous or aggressive puppy i can help you turn them around before it becomes an ingrained habit.  I can either give you advice on turning your puppy around or i can take your puppy for socialisation sessions myself - the choice is yours.
