Hi,
Im Mazzie. Im 25 years old and i live in Kent with my fiance and our ever increasing band of rescue animals.
Poppy and Pals is named after my own dog Poppy and her Pals (my other 5 dogs and various other pets!), they have all taught
me so very much about animal behaviour and training and i will be forever greatful to them all.
I will always consider myself a dog behaviour student as the day i know everything about
dogs will be the day i give up training. All dogs are different and any trainer who believes they know
everything is sadly mistaken.
My Qualifications
I have studied hard for 3 years at Bishop Burton College and at the end of 2010 I gained an FdSc (Canine Behaviour and Training) I am also currently studying two other courses with many more on
my 'in the future' list.
During my studies i have researched many canine related subjects from
health issues, feeding adaquate diets and the effects training techniques can have on a dogs learning ability. I now
use all this knowledge in my behaviour assesments and as a result offer a more holisitc approach to behaviour rehabilitation
therapy.
I am extremely proud of my canine related library of over 250 books and dvds although i will soon
have to buy storage space if i proceed at the rate i currently devour books!

I have always loved animals and drove my family mad with the amount
of injured and stray animals i brought home to care for as a child. I had always wanted a dog but it wasnt until i
was allowed to adopt my own at 16 that i discovered my love of training and behaviour. Bramble was a real challenge
and for some reason (a lack of sanity maybe?) i have taken on four more and one private rehoming since. Rescue
dogs are my passion, especially rescue Border collies and x's and i tend to specialise in helping to rehab nervous dogs.
I have also discovered my love of sighthounds thanks to rescue Lucher Basil - i now specialise in teaching reliable recalls
to many breeds but especially sighthounds.
In
my spare time I love to...
* Trick train with all my dogs
* Train for agility with Hebe
my youngest collie (not competing yet), Dexter and Basil
* Train for heelwork to music with Hebe
* Train for flyball
with Hebe and Dexter
* Train for CaniX (cross country
running) with Ash and Poppy for fun
* Jog with Basil my sighthound, well i try to jog he prefers to run!
* Cuddle
all of my dogs but especially Bramble who excels at it
* Walk for many hours along the Kent countryside foraging with
my dogs and enjoying nature
