Unlike their regular food, it’s likely that your dog will swallow the treat without a second thought. So, it’s at least worth a try. If you fail with this, you can also try to use a pill gun to get the pill into their throat.
Peace and quiet
As mentioned above, during this time your dog will be extremely sensitive. So, if you have young children; it could be best for them to be away from the dog when you’re not around. You don’t just have to worry about the kids, though. A lot of dogs will try to remain their active and happy selves when they’ve been under the knife. They don’t understand the need to be careful. So, it’s best to burn their energy deliberately. Engage in play which you know is safe. And, don’t leave them around dangerous or sharp objects while you’re away.
